The Difference Between Class B and Class C Motorhomes

If you’re considering buying an RV in Tucson, AZ, it’s important to know the differences between a Class B RV and Class C RV. While the size of Class B motorhomes is usually smaller, they come with a kitchen, a living space, and a bathroom. You might also want to consider the number of passengers it can accommodate.

Class B motorhomes are smaller

A Class B motorhome is smaller than a Class C RV. This type of motor home is usually made for a single or two-person trip. However, if you’re traveling with a larger family, you’ll likely want to go with a Class C motorhome. You’ll have more room inside the Class C, which is a great choice if you’re going on a family vacation.

They have a kitchen

In a Class B or Class C RV, you can find a kitchen. They’re very common in the RV world and are built on a truck chassis. The manufacturers then load essential features onto the top. Some even have an outdoor kitchen so you can cook outside! This can be a convenient feature if you’re going on a long road trip or just want to cook up a quick meal.

They have a living area

Class C and B RVs both feature living spaces, and both include a sleeping area. A Class C RV has a living area over the cab, and it is typically converted into an extra sleeping space at night. In addition to a sleeping area, these RVs also have additional storage space for luggage and other gear. The images below show a typical Class C motorhome.

They have a bathroom

Class B and Class C RVs both have a bathroom, to Class C RVs tend to be larger. They typically have a full bathroom and a dining area, while Class B RVs often have a small wet bathroom. The bathroom is one of the most important aspects of a camper, as it can be used for a variety of purposes.

They have a dinette

A dinette is a common fixture in Class B and Class C RVs. The dinette can be used as a bed and doubles as a sofa. The space around the dinette can be made even more flexible by replacing it with a fold-out table. Some of these RVs feature a fold-out television hidden behind the table. Another popular option in smaller rigs is a Murphy bed. Murphy beds combine sleeping space with seating space. These smaller RVs often feature a dinette, couch, and/or bunk beds, and slide-outs add extra space. However, slide-outs come with extra maintenance.

They are easier to maneuver

There are several differences between a Class A and Class B RV. The former is more maneuverable than the latter. it’s driving characteristics are different as well, including the offset of the pedals. In addition, the driver sits over the front wheels. The driver must be especially careful when approaching low overhead hazards, such as bridges.
