As the world of TV reception becomes more and more complex, RVers are looking to keep up with the changes. In an effort to make help them out, Winegard recently unveiled its SensarPro, a device aimed at solving the problem of findings local channels while out on the road.
The all-in-one product offers a number of benefits, including displaying the signal strength of certain channels before vacationers have to go through the problem of scanning channels. It also affords the opportunity to enjoy up to 10 decibels of gain for better performance. The SensarPro is especially helpful after television channels made the conversion from analog to digital several years ago.
"Ever since the 2009 Digital Transition, RVers have struggled to find local channels," said Aaron Engber, Winegard director of mobile products. "With a digital signal, you either have it or you don’t. The Winegard SensarPro gives visual and audio feedback to make locating TV signals fast and efficient."
Such products may become especially important in coming months as estimates point to a growing number of RVers on the road. According to the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association, RV shipments are expected to rise in 2011 and 2012.
