The winter months are inevitably coming our way. In many parts of the country, the temperature is still wavering in the warmer digits, but every now and again there's that one gust of wind that chills our bones. Whether it's a warning sign from Mother Nature, or just a spontaneous burst of cool air, we've got to start preparing for the perils of winter that creep up each year.
For full-time RVers, the winter weather can be even more unaccommodating than it is for those with stationary homes. Older models may have little insulation and rigs with carpet flooring are susceptible to damage by all of the snow tracked in.
In order to be prepared this year, RVs should go through a series of updates and alterations to combat winter's wrath. A simple procedure to help keep an RV more clean during the winter months is installing a tile floor in place of an older rug. Not only will it be easier to clean the vehicle, but the damp snow won't cause mold or mildew to build up in your living room.
