A local business owner in Marystown, Newfoundland, is attempting to open a RV park in the Winterland area of the city.
Leo Molloy has been working at opening up the park he refers to as "Tranquility RV Park," for nearly five years now. He plans to include features like 24-hour security, a dumping station, a rock climbing wall and a mini-golf course, according to the Southern Gazette.
The goal is to have 80 sites at the park and Molloy wants to open the facilities because of the demand for recreational vehicle parks in the area.
"Last May 24 weekend, there were 32 campers turned away [from various sites in the area.] There’s more demand then what there is supply," said Molloy, to the newspaper.
Purchasing a used recreational vehicle is great for people interested in vacationing because it ensures that you never have to worry about finding a vacant hotel or motel to accommodate you and your travel companions. According to Woodall's, RV travel is one of the best ways to see North America's many parks and tourist hot spots.
