Most RV drivers are content to hit the open road and head anywhere that the highway may take them, but there are certain destinations that just seem to stand out. ShermansTravel.com recently highlighted a few of the best road trips that the U.S. has to offer.
Perhaps the most scenic is a trip through the Big Sur section of California. This 90 mile stretch road through the central coast provides beautiful views in nearly every direction. One side of the road is lined with gorgeous redwood trees while the other offers a breathtaking panorama of the Pacific Coast.
Not to be outdone, the Atlantic Coast also made an appearance on the website's list. The 469-mile Blue Ridge Parkway, which runs through North Carolina and Virginia, offers a look at Appalachia that few other stretches can provide.
Motorists looking to take a trip through the country's heartland are not a loss either. Going-to-the-sun Road in Montana made an appearance on the website's list, as it makes its way through the state's iconic Glacier National Park, offering up beautiful views of the Garden Wall.
