Many RV enthusiasts recently attended the annual Springfield RV Camping & Outdoor Show where more than 240 dealers showcased a number of products including Class B motorhomes, according to the Massachusetts' provider The Republican.
Robert and Judith Constant, who were in charge of the four day event, said that approximately 19,000 people came to the show last Saturday allowing for a high number of RVs to be purchased, according to the source.
"It's probably the best show we've had in five years," said Marc LaBrecque, owner of a local RV store told the newspaper. "The economy's turning around, people are buying."
One of the vehciles LeBrecque was selling was the 2011 Earthbound Copper Mountain 29, an environmentally friendly motorhome made out of composite materials and aluminum. Additionally, he claimed to have sold 14 RV that cost more than $40,000.
General manager of a local RV retailer, Todd Emerson, told the news source that his company sold 13 RVs ranging between $15,000 and $70,000.
Many consumers who attended the show said they were looking to buy a motorhome for an alternative way to vacation. Others wanted to upgrade their camping equipment and learn about new campgrounds.
