Over the years, RVs have become one of the most popular ways for travelers to explore small town America. In that time, a number of businesses have taken notice of this fact and begun using specially designed class A motorhomes as a means of promoting a product. Now RVs are being used to help the needy, as the Soles4Souls charity spreads its efforts across the U.S. and Canada as part of the great American Shoe Drive. Soles4Souls is a non-profit organization that collects shoes from professional warehouses, overstocked retailers and ordinary volunteers and redistributes them to people in need all across the globe. According to the organization's website, Soles4Souls have distributed more than 10 million pairs of new and gently worn footwear to children and adults in over 125 countries since 2005. For their latest drive, the charity will be touring 22 cities across the U.S. and Canada over the course of 106 days. The goal of the 6,000 mile drive is to secure 10,000 pairs of shoes to be distributed to countries like Kenya, Thailand and Haiti.
