Earlier this week thousands of people celebrated Mardi Gras, whether they were in New Orleans or in other parts of the country. About 200 individuals attended RV City in Mobile, Alabama where they drove their lightweights, fifth-wheel RVs and class B motorhomes to celebrate the holiday, according to Fox 10 TV.
The event brings in several new faces each year, but many veterans return to the gathering as well. This is the third year Rob Vereen has attended the celebration, the news source reported.
"It's wild, it's crazy, like a big party. Like Talladega for a month," Vereen told the news station.
Darrin Oshea, who hasn't attended the event before, claimed that RV City was a great place to spend Fat Tuesday. He added that guests stay up to the early morning hours celebrating and that individuals have a great time while a DJ performs.
Another newcomer to RV City was Diane Neal who said she always wanted to celebrate Mardi Gras at the motorhome location, reported the news source.
Attendees had to pay approximately $500 to gain access to RV City but several guests claimed it was worth the cost, according to the news station.
