Many recreational vehicle dealers are only interested in pitching the sale, but Shane Voyles is dedicated to pitching the motorhome lifestyle. The seller plans to discuss all of the benefits of RV travel at the upcoming Mid-America RV Show in Kansas City in hope of showing consumers that a motorhome is a worthwhile investment.
Similar to other RV enthusiasts, Voyles highlights that the motorhome lifestyle can provide additional bonding opportunities for families and friends, according to the Kansas City Star. As a child, Voyles' grandfather would take him across the country in a motorhome, sparking his interest in nature.
"We'd go all over to fish and camp. I still remember staying right beside some great fishing lakes and rivers, hiking in the mountains and spending time with my grandpa," Voyles told the news source. "Those were some great times, and they really got me started in the outdoors."
Voyles plans to sell individual units at the Mid-America RV Show, which will be full of vendors marketing everything from trailers to fifth-wheel units.
Spending three days at a campground in a motorhome costs an average of $647, according to the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association. Vacationing in an RV can save families hundreds of dollars on their getaways.
