Over the years, drivers of class A motor homes, used travel trailers and other recreational vehicles have developed a sense of community in which they can share secrets, stories and tips for all things RV. Somethings that drivers like to share are the location and quality of dump stations located around the country, and one new station is being celebrated as one of the best in the country.
The local Elks Lodge of Forest Grove, Oregon, recently opened a new dumping station, and early reviews have been extremely laudatory of the sanitation grounds, with one visitor telling OregonLive.com that "in 14 years of RVing, this is the best dump station I've seen."
Tom Johnston, the City Commissioner of Forest Grove, celebrates the opening of the new facility as long overdue for an area that is popular both with tourists and local RV owners.
"Forest Grove's residents and visitors have needed this for years, as Pacific University and tourism have grown, and it will get used a lot," Johnston told the news provider at the facility's grand opening.
The facility boasts a new influent pump station, headworks and an aeration basin, among other features.
