Across the U.S. and Canada, millions of drivers know that there may be no better way to hit the road and explore their homeland than behind the wheel of a class A motor home. Now it seems that New York politicians may be feeling the same way, as gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo has announced plans to take his campaign on the road aboard his own RV.
Calling his venture "Drive for a new New York," Cuomo will be heading across the Empire State, stopping at small towns along the way and learning about the constituents of the state. The 11-day venture will see Cuomo and his daughters exploring the Hudson Valley, Capital Region and the North Country in an effort to rally support for his campaign.
When asked about the venture, Cuomo claimed that an RV was possibly the most comfortable way to spread his message across the state.
"Ours is a different kind of campaign where we are working to develop a citizen coalition around a new agenda of competence and integrity in government to bring sweeping change and dramatic reform to Albany," Cuomo told the press. "During these visits, we will show New Yorkers that we can make government work again for the people."
