With the summer in full bloom, it may be the perfect time to climb into a Class A motor home and hit the open road to explore the sites and sounds of the country. This summer may also provide the perfect opportunity for younger music fans to pile into a used motor home and trek down to Manchester, Tennessee, to take part in the five-day celebration of all things musical at the 2010 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.
For the uninitiated, Bonnaroo is a four-day music festival that features dozens of bands representing the latest and greatest of Indie rock, world music, hip hop, jazz, bluegrass, folk, electronic and alternative music. This year the event will feature a number of the biggest names in modern music including Jay Z, Stevie Wonder, The Dave Matthews Band, Against Me!, and more.
According to DNJ.com, RVs have become a popular mainstay of the festival, with several local businesses noting a spike in rentals and purchases in the lead up to the annual music festival.
"Bonnaroo is a huge economic benefit for us," a representative of La Vergne's RV Service and Sales told the news provider. "It makes our year. It books every year and it's something that we can count on and depend on."
