 The holiday season is a time for get-togethers with loved ones, and many families are doing it via RV. This Thanksgiving, Mike Morlang drove his motorhome to camp out with fellow Penn State Nittany Lions fans at University Park. He was one of many RV owners who camped out to celebrate the team's first Thanksgiving game in 12 years, according to the Centre Daily Times.
"We spent quite a while fighting the wind to get those canopies up, trying to stay warm," Morlang told the news source, recalling the cold breeze he faced while tailgating.
However, Morlang did not regret the decision to battle the elements alongside other fans. Together, they watched the Auburn vs. Alabama game on their flat screen television and shared a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
Modern amenities have drawn more families to invest in RVs. Motorhomes now include a wide range of conveniences, including running water and electricity. Recreational vehicle dealers also typically offer financing options, which are ideal for individuals who are strapped for cash.
