 Recreational vehicle enthusiasts looking for somewhere to head in the coming weeks may want to consider Michigan. Lawmakers in The Great Lakes State recently declared August as Michigan Camping and Recreation Vehicle Month to honor the contributions that RVers have made to the state.
There is one area in particular that stands out above the rest. Taylor's Beach Campground, located in Howell, Michigan, is one location that caters specifically to RV enthusiasts. This beautiful site offers modern amenities and even provides access to everything from beaches to laundry to free Wi-Fi. The campground also gives vacationers the opportunity to interact with one another.
"With potlucks, community fire pits, themed parties and planned activities, modern camping is much more social than traditional camping," said owner Alan Taylor. "Overall, there's more entertainment for families to enjoy."
Additionally, Taylor's Beach Campground provides interested parties with the opportunity to rent out a camper if they don't have one.
The appeal of affordable vacations offered by RVs may be on rise given that gas prices are hovering around one dollar more than last year.
