 Drivers of class A motorhomes and travel trailers traipsing through northern Illinois this weekend may want to pull in to the small town of Minooka, where the local park will be holding a summer celebration in recognition of the opening of its new RV campground, according to the Clanton Advisor.
The event will be fun for the whole family and feature free food, a $10 poker run that offers a 100 percent payout, fishing tournaments, racing trails for those drivers hauling an ATV in their travel trailers and tours of the newly established campground for drivers interested in leasing or renting a space of their own.
For Park Manager Gerald Arrington, the event is a great way to introduce drivers to the beauty of Minooka park.
"We just want people who enjoy camping to come out this weekend and take a look at it," he told the news provider. "We have a lot to offer because it's out in the woods, and there's plenty of room between each campsite. We want people to come and know they have an option as far as where they can take their families and campers to enjoy a weekend out in the woods."
