Much of the country is currently wrapped up in the drive to go green and reduce their ecological impact on the earth. This movement has even spread to the RV industry, where RoamingTimes.com's Green RV of the Year Award has proven to be a boon to eco-conscious manufacturers and a selling point to drivers looking for a new fifth-wheel travel trailer. No one proves this point greater than the 2010 award winner, Earthbound RV. Earthbound was chosen as the 2010 Green RV of the year because of its use of fully composite materials that utilize low V.O.C. emission construction materials and techniques that allowed the company to significantly reduce its carbon footprint by removing all wood and its byproducts. At the time of the award, the company expressed how its success would only grow with time. "We're in the 21st century. The consumer will not accept the status quo, why should we?" spokesman C. David Hoefer said. "We've taken it five steps further as far as greenness." Since winning the award, Earthbound's popularity has exploded, growing from a small company to encompass an empire of more than 40 dealerships across the U.S. and Canada.
