While drivers the world over have known the joys of hopping into used travel trailers and exploring the countryside, few countries love their recreational vehicles as ardently as the Great White North. To celebrate the 100 years of motor homes and travel trailers, Go RVing Canada has teamed up with the Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association of Canada and the Canadian Tourism Commission to host the "Top 100 Spots to RV in Canada" contest. For a month, RV enthusiasts across Canada will be asked to submit their favorite camp grounds, national parks, resorts or just vacation destinations across the country, with a select few receiving an Apple iPad for their submissions. The submissions will later be compiled into an extensive list that will be part of a book and website put out by Go RVing Canada early next year. Gisele Daniels, the executive director of the CTC claims that the competition showcases both the majesty of Canada and the RVing lifestyle. "RVing is an intimate and accessible way to explore our beautiful country," Danis told the Travel Video News. "The CTC is pleased to take part in the celebration of this milestone event and inspire Canadians to discover a Canada they didn't know existed from coast, to coast, to coast."
