Motorhomes are becoming popular economical ways to travel. Recently, Fremont Peak in Monterey County, California, has attracted a number of recreational vehicle owners with its views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
Near the town of San Juan Bautista, motorhome travelers who camp at Fremont Peak can enjoy a wide range of activities, according to the Monterey County Herald. Picnicking grounds and hiking trails have drawn many RV travelers to the area for the fall and winter seasons. Star gazing is a popular activity for visitors all year long. An observatory is open for campers between April and October.
There are 25 camp sites at Fremont Peak with amenities, such as running water and bathrooms, spread across 159 acres. Twenty sites with more primitive accommodations are also available to campers at a first-come, first-serve basis.
The conveniences of modern motorhomes, such as electricity and built-in kitchens, have motivated more travelers to look into RV travel. Motorhome dealers also offer financing options, providing more opportunities to families who want to invest in the benefits of recreational vehicles.
