As more travelers invest in motorhomes, local communities are embracing visitors and their recreational vehicles. The Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) recently announced that when it meets in Georgia next year, it will include self-contained RV owners, in addition to motorhome users.
The FMCA typically only recognizes one sector of motorhome owners, but is inviting self-contained RV users to join them in March for their 85th reunion. This is the first time that towable trailers have been allowed at the event in the history of the group.
"As our friends in Georgia would say, 'Ya'll come,'" said Judy Czarsty, FMCA national senior vice president and acting national president. "Join us for some good-old-fashioned fun and RV fellowship and learn firsthand about the motorhome lifestyle."
Towable trailer owners who wish to participate in the event will have to pay a non-member fee of $205 and subscribe to the Family Motor Coaching magazine for one year. The Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase will have a variety of events, including an RV and accessory exhibition. Informative seminars will also be held for individuals who are looking to learn more about the motorhome industry.
