Motorhomes and sporting events have long gone together, as scores of fans line arena parking lots with fully-loaded RVs for tailgate parties and more. Sometimes even the athletes themselves get in on the fun, driving RVs across country to follow a busy game schedule and connect with fans at stops along the way. One of these athletes is lightweight MMA fighter, Clay Guida, whose training regiment for his fight at the recent Ultimate Fighting Championship 125 event included extensive RV traveling. Before each match, the 29-year old fighter, who is originally from Illinois, drives all the way to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to train with superstar Greg Jackson, the coach behind noted fighters like George St. Pierre, Rashad Evans and Keith Jardine. Rather than fly, Guida boards his class B motorhome labeled "the Dudemobile" and hits the road - even sleeping in the RV while training. "It sounds very cliched but I'm on the road to victory every day," Guida told the press in a pre-fight interview. There may be something to this unique regiment, as Guida was able to defeat skilled striker Takanori Gomi by submission in the second round. With this win, Guida is back on the road to a light heavyweight title shot.
