Hitting the open road in a used travel trailer is one of the best ways to spend a vacation exploring the country. Since most drivers like to take their time driving cross country, stop and camp, it's no surprise to see a pet or two hanging out in any random class A motor home. As such, drivers that are planning on heading cross country with their four legged friends this summer might consider protecting their vehicle by pet proofing the cabin. RVs can be a healthy investment for a driver, and a few claw marks on the vehicle's interior can ruin what is an otherwise perfect vehicle. As such, drivers traveling with pets should be sure to wrap certain fabrics in plastic while the pets have free roam of the cabin. Though this may be undesirable at first, a driver's attention will typically be on the road, preventing them from watching what a pet may be doing to padded seats. Similarly, drivers will want to scotch guard all fabrics. Even the best trained animal has an accident from time to time, and that smell can turn a fun vacation into a rolling nightmare. RVers will also want to travel with a crate for the animals. This will keep them in a safe and familiar place for those times when their owner can't keep an eye on them.
