Recreational vehicles are not only popular among travelers who enjoy the outdoors, but families who are looking for a cheaper vacation option as well. More individuals are investing in motorhomes to explore the country and save a few bucks that would otherwise be spent on airfare.
This week, Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) president Richard Coon appeared on the Fox and Friends morning show to emphasize the benefits of vacationing in a motorhome. The show, which airs on the Fox News Network, featured the growth in popularity of RV travel. On the program, Coon highlighted the amenities that come with modern motorhomes, according to RVIA.org.
Many travelers are still under the impression that vacationing via RV involves roughing it in the wilderness. Coon stressed that many motorhomes today have modern conveniences, such as running water, electricity and even fully-equipped kitchens.
"This has everything you have in your house," Coon said on the program, according to the news source.
For individuals who want to travel via motorhomes but lack the financial means, used RVs may come at more reasonable prices. Many motorhome dealers also offer financing options.
