While a road trip in a class A motor home means never having to pay for a hotel room, it also means finding a suitable parking space in which to spend the night. In an effort to draw more recreational vehicle drivers and their families to central Arizona, the Chino Valley Planning and Zoning Commission will soon hear plans to establish a new 19-space RV park at some point in the coming year. This marks the second time that the commission has planned to meet on this issue, though the first meeting was postponed due to what the Daily Courier refers to as a "lack of quorum." The new park would provide a welcome rest stop in the middle of one of the most heavily traveled states for RVers eager to see the Grand Canyon. Organizers believe that the sprawling new park will be able to accommodate 19 class A motor homes on a sizable eight-tenths of an acre plot, located just outside the Country West Mobile Home Park. There's no word yet on what amenities the park would offer to its guest, though its proximity to a mobile home park suggest that water, power and sewer may be among them.
