 Now that the weather is warming up and the days are growing longer, many RVers across the country are gearing up to take to the road and explore the countryside in their travel trailers, fifth wheels and motorhomes. If one rental agency in Florida is right, drivers may notice a bit of a crowd this summer, as Allstar Luxury Coaches is predicting a summer surge in RV travel.
The popular rental agency, which also offers locations across the country, has seen a substantial rise in the demand for its rental vehicles heading into the busy summer season - a factor that many find odd given the current cost of fuel.
Yet an unnamed spokesperson for the agency believes that the growth in demand for RV rentals could be a sign of the times. Even with the rising price of gas, a motorhome vacation will typically be a more cost-effective means of travel, as it cuts out hotel fees and allows drivers to bring and prepare their own food.
Similarly, the spokesman tells Comareaway.co.uk that travelers are tired of the lengthy waits in security lines, hidden fees and general hassle of air travel.
