Over the years, RVs have been used for many things: hauling cargo, transportation and of course as a means of exploring the countryside of the U.S. and Canada. Yet one class A motor home making its way through Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is hoping to call attention to a serious issue for the country at large - the under funding of public health initiatives. The American Health Care Association, a non profit health advocate representing more than 10,000 smaller health organizations, is currently touring the country in class A motor home dubbed the "Driving for Quality Care" RV. Organizers are touring the country to collect the statements of medical professionals and people living under assisted care to call attention to the need for further funding for public health initiatives. The goal of the tour, which will take the RVers to 60 stops across 40 states, is to create awareness of the monetary issues affecting programs like Medicare and compile information and testimonials to submit to national leaders. Eau Claire is the 34th stop for the tour thus far, according to WEAU.com.
