Pedata RV Center Notices RV Dealers Increasing Inventory in Response to Consumer Confidence

Monday, May 31st, 2010

Pedata RV Center and other RV dealers are increasing their available inventories in response to the notable increase in consumer confidence.

Gerard Pedata of Pedata RV Center said, “Consumer confidence levels are increasing. They aren’t anywhere near as high as they’ve been in years past, but they are showing definite positive signs and the consumer expectations are showing sharp increases.”

Pedata RV Center increased inventory of small to mid-sized used camping and travel trailers. RVs are an economical and versatile option for travel. A significant portion of RVers are full time RVers meaning that they spend a majority of their time living in their recreational vehicle. But the current season’s purchasing needs are typically based on the family looking
for convenient, versatile, kid friendly summer travel options.

The reasons noted for the increase in consumer confidence include:

1.    Growing optimism regarding business conditions
2.    Growing optimism regarding the labor market

Industry professionals see the health of the RV market as an indicator for the movement in general economic health. This belief is based on past trends that are being used to accurately forecast economic factors and public buying response.

Pedata RV Center sells motorhomes (used travel trailers, toy haulers, RVs, etc.) with their full inventory available for viewing online 24 hours a day. They also provide a wide variety of industry specific information to ensure that consumers in the market for used travel trailers and RVs are aware of the various options and features available in the industry.

Class B: Is This What You Want

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

Did you know that Class B motor homes are the smallest in the RV world? Class B units have a raised roof and are build on a van chassis. You may have heard Class B RVs called van conversions or, simply, camper vans. No matter the size, though, you still have the opportunity to customize your Class B RV to fit your RVing needs.

Many people enjoy luxury motor homes, while others enjoy more space. Class B RVs have both positive features and negative features. These are what you should take into consideration before purchasing a new or used Class B.

Pros to a Class B Units

- Its smaller unit size uses less fuel and is easy to maneuver on twisty mountain roads.

- You can often park your Class B RV in the regular sized parking space.

- The unit can be used as a second vehicle.

- This type of RV can typically be serviced at any mechanics shop or garage.

- This class can tow another small car or trailer, if needed.

- You have the option to travel to locations that larger RVs cannot venture to.

- You can park or store this size RV unit in your home driveway.

- This size of unit is easy to wash and keep clean.

- The driving and living areas are connected making it easy to move between the two areas.

- If the space is too limiting, you can upgrade and purchase slide-outs.

Cons to Class B Motorhomes

- You will have limited storage space. This means you have to pay added attention to what you bring on board.

- One to two people can sleep comfortably, but you will have the option to sleep 6.

- Although space is tight, it gets you out into nature or the world when traveling.

- Beds are often fold-outs, so they are put away each morning.

- Bathroom space is limited.

- The unit is not ideal for fulltimers that require lots of space. If you will be on the road a lot, think about this.

- As with all RVs, prices will vary. Buying a new RV is always pricier than purchasing a used one.

How to make the decision

Make sure you spend the time necessary to research your RVing needs and options. Look at various models, styles, and sizes before committing to one type of unit. Take test drives. You will soon be in the RV of your dreams!

RV Sales And What To Take

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

When spending time in an RV Sales showroom, make sure you take heed to these nine tips. They will help you when purchasing RV sales new or used. Don’t get overwhelmed, get smart!

Mind your manners and gather good RV sales information.

1. Manners are important on the RV sales floor. This rings true even if the RV sales people aren’t your favorite people. Let yourself be mindful and keep smiling.

2. Gather RV sales information before hitting the RV showroom. Know what your RV needs and desires are, such as what size RV you’re interested in. Pick out photos or take magazines with you of what you like. This will help guide the RV sales people into finding the best model for you.

Have proof of the dealer’s integrity and an array of solid questions to ask before visiting the RV sales showroom.

3. Don’t forget to research the dealer, and study its Better Business Bureau report. Make sure it is credible.

4. Don’t forget a list of concrete questions for you to ask the RV sales reps. By taking the necessary time to research and go prepared, you’ll let the RV sales people know that you know what you’re discussing.

Make sure you have a budget and some patience.

5. Stay cool, calm, and collected under all circumstances. Patience is a virtue. It’s hard to be clear headed when you let emotions take over. Listen to the sales pitch from the RV sales person. See what works for you.

6. Take an accurate budget with you so that you don’t get eager to spend what isn’t available. It’s easy to fall in love with a motor home out of your budget, so stick to it. Take account of all misc expenses that could incur.

7. It’s also wise to arrange for financing before shopping. You will want to have the chance to shop rates and find what works best for you.

Remember to have courage and don’t be afraid to take someone with you to help negotiate.

8. Take a friend or other trustworthy person with you as help in negotiating prices, unless you feel like you can handle this art on your own.

9. Don’t forget courage. Ask the challenging questions and make sure you get what you want. Don’t be intimidated or be peer pressured into something you don’t want.

So, do you feel prepared to buy and ready to travel? Good! Go find the recreational vehicle of your dreams.

RV Travel Gives You Access To The Road

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

People have always enjoyed traveling and exploring their surroundings. Back in ancient times, the method of travel was foot or camel often using tents or similar shelter. Romans traveled in wagons that satisfied their needs for both transportation and living. In modern times, it is the RV. The RV is ideal for traveling, living, and experiencing life’s adventures with comforts of home in tow.

RV Adventures

Traveling in a recreational vehicle can make you feel free, as you drift away from the other run-of-the-mill cars or commercial entities. Your RV becomes your home away from home, where you and your pets can live a life that is clutter free of your original living quarters. It is your life on wheels.

Life on the road in your motor home also means that you have the power to become closer to nature. You can choose to stay in camp grounds or you can choose to boondock, which means you stay off of the beaten path. Through the RV windows, you can see sunsets, wildlife, and nature as it was meant to be experienced. You can park the RV and stroll around, or you can safely sit and peer out from within.

Motorhomes Can Create Family Memories That Last Longer Than iPods Do!

Leave the everyday technological distractions at home. This means, no iPods, iPhones, hand held video games, etc. Taking a technology free trip in your motor home, travel trailer, fifth wheel or toy hauler will allow you and your family to have quality bonding time day in and day out. Pack rainy day activities to be used even on non-rainy days. Take books to read aloud. Pack jigsaw puzzles and board games, and take a deck of cards. Don’t forget a camera, scrapbooking materials, and journals to document. The adventure and laughter will create memories that will last a lifetime.

RVing is More Economical Than You Think!

Everyone wants to save money, and by traveling in a motorhome, you will be able to do so. You will save money by cooking inside the unit and not eating out, and you will save money by sleeping on board and not having to stay overnight in hotels. You will also save money on gas by staying a consistent speed on the road. If you haven’t even gotten to the point of purchasing a motorhome, try renting one first.

Take your traveling adventures into your own hands and travel in a recreational vehicle. See America and live a life on the road of freedom. Begin to plan your adventures on the road today!

Pedata RV Center Urges Consumers to Consider Purchasing Used in the Midst of Recovery

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Pedata RV Center urges consumers to consider purchasing used motorhomes in the midst of the recovery. RV travel is a positive move economically for most; and for most purchasing used motorhomes is an additional financial advantage worth considering. More consumers are looking for used motor homes as they continue in a semi-cautious purchasing vein and the summer/vacation season heats up.

Pedata RV Center’s Gerard Pedata said, “Summer always sees an increase in RV buying interest. It’s only logical; families are looking for a vacation method that will incorporate the entire family in the most economical way possible.”

Benefits of RV travel that increase purchasing popularity in the summer months include:

1.    Economical: RV travel is far more economical than other modes of travel popularly used for vacationing.
2.    Amenities: RVs of today provide all inclusive comfort and luxury. Depending upon the model chosen travelers can enjoy almost any luxury and/or amenity that is available.
3.    Family friendly: RVs are more family friendly than any lodging available on the road. RVers are able to ensure that their family’s needs are met on the road.
4.    Versatility: RVing offers unique travel planning possibilities as well as unique possibilities to travel without an itinerary.

The benefits of RVing have made it a popular choice for many for years, but the recent economical strain has actually increased the interest in RVs as a mode of travel; particularly vacation travel. Consumers looking to cut back on extra expenditures without cutting out all their entertainment are making a used motor home one of their investments.

Pedata RV Center offers an extensive inventory of used motor homes. All have a very detailed listing of features and specifications. And all available inventory is included in the online listings. Pedata RV Center offers low prices on high quality recreational vehicles.

Pedata RV Center Defines Major Categories in the Industry, Class A, Class B and Class C Motorhome

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

Pedata RV Center defines the major categories into which all recreational vehicles fall: Class A, Class B, and Class C motorhome. Current definitions as presented by the industry standard RVIA (Recreational Vehicle Industry Association) leave many RVers and potential RVers wondering what characteristics define a RV and place it into one category over another.

Active RV and RV travel forum participants often find themselves discussing the differences between a Class A, a Class B and a Class C motorhome with newbies and veteran RVers alike. Veterans find themselves confused when they are attempting to upgrade/downsize to 2nd or 3rd vehicles. Newbies find themselves unable to define what they are looking for precisely enough to get a proper response at a dealership or from owners with used motorhomes for sale.

Pedata RV Center recognizes that loose definitions are versatile, but unhelpful when attempting to use them as a reference point. Thus the following are general definitions for the various classes of motor homes:

1.    The Class A motorhome. Class A’s are built on one of the following: a commercial bus chassis, a specially designed motor vehicle chassis, or a commercial truck chassis.
2.    The Class B motorhome. Class B’s are built using a conventional van. Construction depends upon either the addition of a raised roof or having the back replaced by a low-profile body (most call it coach built).
3.    The Class C motorhome. Class C’s are built on a truck chassis with an attached cab (usually van based). Class C’s are often based on the popular Ford E450 engine, cabs, and chassis (Dodge and Chevy are also popular choices). The larger version is often referred to as a toy hauler and may be based on a larger truck such as the F650. The Class C is easily recognized by the cab over style which often contains a bed or entertainment section.

Arguing over the title may seem silly, but it is a necessity for many to be able to identify either the motorhome that they own or the motorhome that they would like to own. Nothing is more helpful than being able to walk onto a dealer’s lot knowing what to ask for.

Pedata RV Center offers an extensive inventory of used motorhomes and/or RVs. All have a very detailed listing of features and specifications available for perusal by the public online. And all available inventory is included in the online listings. Pedata RV Center offers low prices on high quality recreational vehicles.

Class C – Ideal for Boondocking with Your Children

Monday, May 17th, 2010

Do your children spend all of their free or extra-curricular time on the internet, playing video games, or watching television?  If this is you, get ready to take a vacation back to nature with your entire family in your Class C RV.

Packing Tips for your Class C Nature weekend

When preparing to pack your Class C for your family weekend, take the essentials and leave the rest at home.  Make sure you check the weather at the spot you are going to visit, so that you pack appropriately.  Take hiking boots, socks, a few changes of clothing, a hat, and a sweatshirt.  Store bug spray, sunscreen, and a first aid kit in your Class C recreational vehicle.

Take the following

Some extra items that you won’t want to forget to pack in your Class C RV are binoculars, a magnifying glass, and any identifying adventure books.  These books can be fun in identifying birds, nature, and wildlife.  Take your camera and a blank scrapbook to document the trip.  If you plan on hiking, make sure you have water bottles (reusable) and easy to carry snack foods on board your Class C before leaving.

Leave this at home

This Class C RV adventure should be about family time, so say no to all electronics.  No iPods, video games, or other technological items should be allowed on board.  You, as the adult, must have a cell phone for emergencies, but other than that, take the time to enjoy one another’s laughter and company.

What if it rains?

It may rain or you may want a day inside your motorhome.  So, just in case, make sure you bring along some good books, a deck of cards, or even board games.  Playing games is fun, as is reading books out loud.  You will have fun with the whole family!  Make sure you pack age-appropriate games for all of the children in the Class C excursion.

Don’t stress about the food

Hamburgers and hotdogs, along with fresh fruits and veggies, are always good for camping.  They can be grilled over an open flame or campfire, even the veggies can be skewered, and homemade S’mores are never a letdown.

You and your family will enjoy every moment of your technology free weekend.

Travel Trailer – Visit Your National Park

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

Plan a travel trailer trip to one of America’s natural National Parks.  There are plenty of options of parks for you to choose from.  All will offer different activities, sites, and amenities to match your travel trailer and fifth wheel needs.  So whether you choose to visit the Grand Canyon with your travel trailer or another park, you will have a well-worth it excursion.

What should you look for in selecting a National Park as a travel trailer destination?

Before selecting the RV park that you want to take your travel trailer to, assess the distance that you want to cross.  Begin with your point of origin and make sure your budget can cover the costs to get you and your travel trailer to and from your destination.  There are options for you to choose from throughout the United States.  You should even check to see if there are discounts available for visiting more than one park within certain distances from one another.

Spend some time researching the numerous National Parks that exist in your travel trailer trip range.  There is the infamous Grand Canyon or Rocky Mountain Nation Park.  You may wish to take your travel trailer beachside to Canaveral National Seashore or Biscayne National Park, or you may select a park that has historic relevance, such as the Independence National Historic Park.

What National Parks are located nearby?

There are several ways to discover what parks are located near your point of origin.  The best website and resource is the U.S. National Park Service.  You can find a park by entering your state or search parks by attractions.  Other tools or resources to find parks are online, book stores, or local library.  If you are a member of an RV club with your travel trailer or a member of the American Automobile Association, check there, too.

Try camping in the park in your travel trailer

Many parks offer tent and RV camping areas.  Some have hook up options, while others do not.  Take a look online to make sure the campground or park that you select has camping options to suit your travel needs.  You may have to reserve a spot, so it is wise to spend time online or call the park service directly for more information.

Begin planning your RV trip ASAP

When planning a national park vacation, spend ample time preparing for your trip.  Learn the history of the park, its amenities, and the anticipated travel time.  By doing this, you will have time to enjoy the entire RVing experience!

Pedata RV Center Predicts Class C RVs Will Experience Higher Sales This Summer

Monday, May 10th, 2010

Phoenix, AZ (Vocus) May 12, 2010 — Pedata RV Center predicts higher Class C sales of RVs for summer. RVs have become an even more popular choice as a vacation option in the past few years as many consumers cut back on vacation costs. This is a typical reaction during times of depression and/or recession. The current demand for smaller RVs in the summertime reflects the seasonal demand in years past, but the recession has increased Class C demand as families look for accommodations for summer vacations.

Gerard Pedata of Pedata RV Center said, “The summer is definitely Class C season. RVs in general are seeing a lot of activity in 2010 compared to 2009, but we’ll see the increase in interest regarding Class C RVs in particular in the coming months.”

Other popular RVs that see increased demand during the summer months and months leading up to summer are fifth wheels. Fifth wheels and Class C RVs both offer the following advantages:

1.    Sleep more people

2.    More affordable

Locals looking to vacation in their surrounding area tend to value the Class C RVs for their ability to decrease costs through travel expense (in comparison to larger RVS and/or flying) as well as the expense of accommodations while on the road. Another aspect of the RV that makes traveling in the summer more affordable is the ability to prepare food; this drastically decreases the cost of eating while on vacation.

Pedata RV Center sells RVs with their full inventory available for viewing online 24 hours a day (Class A, Class C, Class B, Fifth Wheel, etc). They also provide a wide variety of industry specific information to ensure that consumers in the market for an RV are aware of the various options and features available in the industry.
